Graduated from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris and in business law, Dominique Laboureix joined the Banque de France in 1988. He first worked within the institution as assistant to the management in charge payment systems and market infrastructures, before joining the Banking Commission in 1993 to become deputy director of document control from 2004 to 2007.
In 2007, he was appointed Director of the Policy and Research Department of the Banking Commission, a position he retained in the Prudential Supervisory Authority (ACP) when it was set up in March 2010.
From 2011 to 2013, Dominique Laboureix is Director of the Financial and Management Control Department of the Banque de France, for which he represents the institution on budget, accounting and monetary income issues with the ECB.
In 2013, he was in charge of creating the direction of the Resolution within the ACPR, then in December 2014 he was appointed Member of the newly created Single Resolution Council in Brussels, where he was in charge of planning the resolution.
